Welcome to the Family: A Message to Our 2026 Junior Knights Parents

Welcome to the 2026 season! Whether your child is stepping onto the turf for the very first time in K-2 Flag, joining our Girls Competitive Flag team, or strapping on the pads for Tackle, we are thrilled to have you as part of the Junior Knights family. Our program is more than just football; it is a community dedicated to teaching discipline, teamwork, and resilience. We know that as parents, you are the backbone of this program, and we are committed to making this a safe, rewarding, and unforgettable experience for your child. Our Commitment to You: Safety and Excellence We understand that you are entrusting us with your children. That is why Safety Comes First. Every single one of our coaches is Rutgers-certified, background-checked, and trained in CPR/AED. We do not just teach them how to win; we teach them how to play the game the right way.

Getting Ready for Kickoff

To ensure your athlete is prepared, please double-check that they have the following essentials for every practice and game:

The Spare Mouthpiece: Children frequently lose them. We recommend keeping a spare in your vehicle. Per league rules, no player can participate without a mouthpiece.

Hydration: Please send your child with a large water bottle. To keep their energy levels stable, we ask that you avoid soda or sugary drinks.

The Gear: For all football players, mouthpices and rubber cleats are required for safety.

Join the Mission: We Need Your Help

The Junior Knights program is run entirely by volunteers, and we are always looking for parents who want to make an impact. There are many ways to get involved.

On the Field: If you have a passion for the game and want to help mentor our athletes, consider joining our coaching staff. We provide guidance for those willing to step up and lead.

Behind the Scenes: It takes a village to keep our program running. We need help with logistics, event organization, concession stand management, and general field house operations. Whether you can give an hour a week or help lead a project, your time is invaluable to the kids. If you are interested in coaching or assisting with program operations, please fill out the volunteer form.

Financial Support

We believe that every child in Wharton, Mine Hill, Dover, and Rockaway Boro should have the chance to play. If you are experiencing financial hardship, please reach out to us at JrKnightsAAA@gmail.com. Our scholarship program is strictly confidential and exists to ensure no child is left on the sidelines.

We are ready to make 2026 a legendary year for these athletes. Thank you for choosing the Junior Knights. The Junior Knights AAA Board and Coaching Staff
